Mateus Vargas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gigel Zăvoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Marius Paulică in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by 67Olympique Meydanbaşı FC's Atay Beysun. Gigel Zăvoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Cláudio-André Taffarel came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by MasterBets's Oliver Bierhoff. But to his dismay, Oliver Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Valentine Tutorskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Cláudio-André Taffarel came out of the goal and Kylian Mbappè tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Harry Viklund put in a rough tackle.
