Templars FC's Francileudo Faarø managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Norberto Peña in the 7 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Sammut got free with Firmo Canosa in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stanislaw Koczara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Firmo Canosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guyu FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stanislaw Koczara was slow to take the kick. During this time Templars FC's players had a chance to rest. Francesco Ziguenza tried in the 10th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Firmo Canosa a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. Firmo Canosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislaw Koczara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guyu FC's Firmo Canosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislaw Koczara in the 15th minute of play. Firmo Canosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Sammut went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute Silvestre Cacheres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Stanislaw Koczara came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Templars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stanislaw Koczara couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Sammut got free with Firmo Canosa in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osvaldo Figueres charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Figueres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, Guyu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Figueres to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Guyu FC's goalkeeper Firmo Canosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Sammut. Templars FC's Stanislaw Koczara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Firmo Canosa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Cacheres in the 47th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Templars FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
