The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Sebastian Arenstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almaröds FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Arenstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Gentza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Ove Glanselius made a huge save. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind TEIXEIRINHA FC's goalkeeper Doni das Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by TEIXEIRINHA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Simon Thidén was slow to take the kick. During this time Almaröds FF's players had a chance to rest. Ove Glanselius made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Anaia Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the game, Anaia Barbosa lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Ove Glanselius. In the 18th minute Sebastian Arenstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doni das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Arenstedt in the 21st minute of play. Almaröds FF's attentive Flavio Migliorati managed to snatch the ball when Sivart Flammild made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, TEIXEIRINHA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Arenstedt came free, but Doni das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by TEIXEIRINHA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Almaröds FF's Ove Glanselius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Almaröds FF from getting a goal against them. After 29 minutes of play, Almaröds FF's Sebastian Arenstedt made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doni das Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ove Glanselius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Gentza in the 35th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Almaröds FF's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Gentza came free, but Ove Glanselius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sivart Flammild made in the 41st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Anaia Barbosa immediately put the ball in play. Anaia Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Ove Glanselius made a huge save. If Fred Finsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Sebastian Arenstedt made the kick off in the second half. Ove Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Gentza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Fred Finsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Almaröds FF's Sebastian Arenstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Sebastian Arenstedt put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Doni das Neves. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Aírton Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. TEIXEIRINHA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ove Glanselius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Esteban Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almaröds FF's Sebastian Arenstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ove Glanselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Gentza in the 85th minute of play. Robert Söderlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Doni das Neves made a huge save. The supporters of TEIXEIRINHA FC booed when Almaröds FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Fernström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almaröds FF were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over TEIXEIRINHA FC's much stronger midfield.
