Qian Ying Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Drambas in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by LIVERPOOL FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vlassis Chelis was slow to take the kick. During this time GOD OF WAR's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Chong Yuan in the 20th minute of play forced GOD OF WAR's goalkeeper Grzegorz Piechna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, GOD OF WAR's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Rada came free, but Grzegorz Piechna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in LIVERPOOL FC's zone, Vlassis Chelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Qian Ying Lang came out of the goal and Vlassis Chelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Qian Ying Lang was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Facundo Bertoglio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 33 minute of play. LIVERPOOL FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Facundo Bertoglio scored to the left of an out of position Qian Ying Lang, making the score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jiang Chong Yuan made the kick off in the second half.
