Fabrício Falcão came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Sao Brasola's Pierrot Leenpoels. But to his dismay, Pierrot Leenpoels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Oséas Freire came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Sprite Star Football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséas Freire couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Sprite Star Football getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Dieguinho Matos hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Sprite Star Football's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Di Vincenzo came free, but Fabrício Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pierrot Leenpoels's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrício Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Oséas Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Saturnin having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Pierrot Leenpoels ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabrício Falcão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldinho Peixoto during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sprite Star Football getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ronaldinho Peixoto hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierrot Leenpoels in the 23rd minute of play forced Sprite Star Football's goalkeeper Fabrício Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Sao Brasola got a corner. Sprite Star Football's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elia Di Vincenzo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Damiano Luongo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Urbano Saturnin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséas Freire in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierrot Leenpoels in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Oséas Freire came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Sprite Star Football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséas Freire couldn't finish the play. Sprite Star Football's Fabrício Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierrot Leenpoels in the 34th minute of play. When Dieguinho Matos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. In the 39th match minute, Sprite Star Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho Matos to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Pierrot Leenpoels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sao Brasola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierrot Leenpoels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabrício Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierrot Leenpoels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Sao Brasola were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Sao Brasola made a substitution. Eduardo Beilinson replaced Emilio Paglione. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elia Di Vincenzo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierrot Leenpoels in the 51st minute of play forced Sprite Star Football's goalkeeper Fabrício Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sprite Star Football's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elia Di Vincenzo was slow to take the kick. During this time Sao Brasola's players had a chance to rest. Elia Di Vincenzo made a great header on Sao Brasola's corner, it was just that Sprite Star Football's Fabrício Falcão managed to reach the ball for a save. When Gică Aristide, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 53 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fabrício Falcão was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sprite Star Football's Fabrício Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierrot Leenpoels in the 59th minute of play. Sprite Star Football's Fabrício Falcão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Sprite Star Football from getting a goal against them. Percy de Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Urbano Saturnin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sprite Star Football. Pierrot Leenpoels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sao Brasola's attentive Camillo Galeone managed to snatch the ball when Monge Mong made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Carter Di Fazio took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabrício Falcão. Fabrício Falcão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sprite Star Football's goalkeeper Fabrício Falcão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Lúcio Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Camillo Galeone in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sprite Star Football's Monge Mong. In the 94th minute, Percy de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabrício Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carter Di Fazio in the 96th minute of the match. Sao Brasola were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Sprite Star Football's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elia Di Vincenzo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Carter Di Fazio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabrício Falcão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sao Brasola eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
