Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Fredrik Molland started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 6 played minutes U21 Norway got a freekick which was hit by Jørund Leira. Ezequiel Calderón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Håvard Skramstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Calderón got free with Håvard Skramstad in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fredrik Molland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nemesio Baladi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severiano Urbez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Norway's Håvard Skramstad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Norway from getting a goal against them. Håvard Skramstad made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Ezequiel Calderón sent off a good shot on target. When U21 Argentina's Severiano Urbez in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Norway's goalie prevented a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezequiel Calderón made a kick off. Håvard Skramstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Calderón in the 54th minute of play. Håvard Skramstad came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Argentina's Severiano Urbez. But to his dismay, Severiano Urbez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fredrik Molland had several of the U21 Argentina's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Nemesio Baladi as he didn't even see the shot coming. Nemesio Baladi was a little too slow when Fredrik Molland got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-2. U21 Argentina's Karl-Michael Melander was substituted for Ezequiel Calderón. Håvard Skramstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Melander in the 86th minute of play. U21 Argentina's Nemesio Baladi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Molland in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Karl-Michael Melander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Håvard Skramstad. U21 Norway's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Michael Melander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Karl-Michael Melander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. U21 Argentina walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
