With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claris Quiroga in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Spinosa saved MoVenTorZ FC from getting behind. UD Fuerteventura were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after MoVenTorZ FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Geovani Barral took the corner. Claris Quiroga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto Spinosa having to make a save. Bernardo Vazquez made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Ciro Anastasi sent off a good shot on target. If Geovani Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. A collision led to MoVenTorZ FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Diego Ihazintu hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, MoVenTorZ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claris Quiroga came free, but Fausto Spinosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Constancio Llinares fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Fuerteventura's protests and gave Constancio Llinares a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half UD Fuerteventura were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Bruno Angelucci made the kick off in the second half.
