Randall Rodríguez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bara Miss in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Urko Tabares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PEÑAROL PIPERO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marshrose the free kick. After 12 played minutes PEÑAROL PIPERO got a freekick which was hit by Urko Tabares. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lawrence Hopson got free with Randall Rodríguez in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hélio Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Zalayeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martxot Vaquerizo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, PEÑAROL PIPERO's goalkeeper Randall Rodríguez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bara Miss. After a rather tough play, Marshrose's Ruben Le got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Randall Rodríguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derrick Osborne in the 28th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Bara Miss made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes PEÑAROL PIPERO got a freekick which was hit by Urko Tabares. PEÑAROL PIPERO's Urko Tabares got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Walker Bird was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marshrose's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PEÑAROL PIPERO the free kick. Walker Bird kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. PEÑAROL PIPERO's Randall Rodríguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derrick Osborne in the 62nd minute of play. Randall Rodríguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bara Miss, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 92 minutes of play, Marshrose's Derrick Osborne made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Randall Rodríguez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute Derrick Osborne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randall Rodríguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Marshrose players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
