With a little luck, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Enrique Caldero got control of the ball when Maximo Lon tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Maximo Lon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergio Gerazan got free with Enrique Caldero in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Sergio Gerazan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enrique Caldero, 1-0. Roberto Elija hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Titanes Mayas's zone, Saverio Astete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mías Marin came out of the goal and Saverio Astete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Caldero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Lon, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Resistencia Tayrona FC defense, Maximo Lon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Caldero. The Resistencia Tayrona FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Caldero should have stopped the shot. Maximo Lon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Enrique Caldero made a huge save. Enrique Caldero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Gerazan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximo Lon in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enrique Caldero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Titanes Mayas booed when Resistencia Tayrona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciano Bonifaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes Titanes Mayas got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Lon. 36 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Gerazan came free, but Enrique Caldero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Astete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mías Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Titanes Mayas's Mías Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Astete in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Sergio Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Caldero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Maximo Lon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Titanes Mayas's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Lon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Caldero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Caldero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Lon in the 49th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saverio Astete stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Saverio Astete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mías Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Maximo Lon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Resistencia Tayrona FC were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Titanes Mayas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adriano Samperio took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Adriano Samperio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mías Marin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Refugio Izaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the game, Sergio Gerazan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Enrique Caldero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adriano Samperio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mías Marin having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Sergio Gerazan made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Caldero. Resistencia Tayrona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Gervasio Buenahora was substituted for Refugio Izaga. When Gervasio Buenahora fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Resistencia Tayrona FC's protests and gave Gervasio Buenahora a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Resistencia Tayrona FC got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Buenahora. The audience was convinced that Maximo Lon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Caldero was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Enrique Caldero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Gerazan went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 86th match minute, Resistencia Tayrona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Samperio to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Caldero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Lon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
