S.C.PAULISTA's Alessandro de Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save S.C.PAULISTA from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Geovani Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Fuerteventura's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovani Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro de Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovani Barral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alessandro de Souza having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Alessandro de Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovani Barral. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovani Barral couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moisés Tepedino to make the kick off. Frank Leão hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Alessandro de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Barral in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Geovani Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovani Barral in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro de Souza saved S.C.PAULISTA from getting behind. The UD Fuerteventura fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when UD Fuerteventura's Geovani Barral looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. UD Fuerteventura's Miroslaw Klose was substituted for Claris Quiroga. Alessandro de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslaw Klose in the 90th minute of play. When UD Fuerteventura's Miroslaw Klose in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
