The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Real Dracul Medellín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Bao to maneuver through the defense. Tercero Arriete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladio Sabuco got free with Santos Kiliz in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tercero Arriete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Sánchez in the 18th minute of the match. Cayetano Bertol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tercero Arriete read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Cayetano Bertol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the game, GUSESI's Florentino Paul nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tercero Arriete made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tercero Arriete didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Sánchez went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, Real Dracul Medellín's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Bertol came free, but Tercero Arriete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Baltasar Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the GUSESI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Marquez couldn't finish the play. Cayetano Bertol struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Tercero Arriete didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GUSESI. Tercero Arriete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Bertol in the 40th minute of play. Tercero Arriete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Paul in the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ladio Sabuco to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Hugo Sánchez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Tercero Arriete was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldo Bao kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Hugo Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tercero Arriete made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cayetano Bertol in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute, Hugo Sánchez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tercero Arriete. The goal made the score 1-4. Cayetano Bertol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Tercero Arriete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as GUSESI's Florentino Paul slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tercero Arriete. That made the score 1-5 after 79 minutes of play. After 83 played minutes GUSESI got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Bertol. Real Dracul Medellín's Tercero Arriete proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Real Dracul Medellín from getting a goal against them. Tercero Arriete made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florentino Paul in the 88th minute. Real Dracul Medellín's Tercero Arriete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paco Gento in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, GUSESI's Baltasar Marquez got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
