The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to FC Blåvitt getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Sune Byström hit a great ball. With his leg Jerold Hooper managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when FC Blåvitt's Adam Öberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Jerold Hooper successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adam Öberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 17th minute, Jake Perrault left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marshrose fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marshrose's Marion Moon got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Marshrose booed when FC Blåvitt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Sundén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torsten Enström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Garland in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Marshrose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Griggs to maneuver through the defense. The FC Blåvitt players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Marshrose were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Adam Öberg made the kick off in the second half. Stig-Åke Mårtensson hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jake Perrault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Enström having to interfere. Jerold Hooper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staffan Sundén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, FC Blåvitt's goalkeeper Torsten Enström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jake Perrault. Adam Öberg took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerold Hooper. Jerold Hooper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 69th match minute, Marshrose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Homer Childers to maneuver through the defense. Sune Byström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerold Hooper. Marshrose's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marion Moon hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The FC Blåvitt fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when FC Blåvitt's Staffan Sundén looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Staffan Sundén might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerold Hooper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Staffan Sundén ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Adam Öberg made a precise shot to the right of Jerold Hooper. Marshrose's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. In the 80th minute, Marion Moon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerold Hooper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Öberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Adam Öberg put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jerold Hooper. After 89 minutes, Vincent Stenman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Blåvitt and the Marshrose players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jerold Hooper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Byström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig-Åke Mårtensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
