The supporters of Titanes Mayas booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Kiliz came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Titanes Mayas's Hipolito Txordon. But to his dismay, Hipolito Txordon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Hugo Sánchez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amancio Artal. Titanes Mayas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Sánchez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 45 minutes into the game, Apolo Bastiaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Titanes Mayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GUSESI the free kick. In the 48th minute, Lisandro Leoiar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santos Kiliz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amado Dei made a kick off. Titanes Mayas's Amado Dei got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Hipolito Txordon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Santos Kiliz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute, Ruben Cayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to GUSESI getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ruben Cayo hit a great ball. Hugo Sánchez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amancio Artal having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Sánchez in the 67th minute of play forced Titanes Mayas's goalkeeper Amancio Artal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, GUSESI's Hugo Sánchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amancio Artal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Amancio Artal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Sánchez in the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, one of Titanes Mayas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Titanes Mayas:s Amancio Artal showed great skill when he stopped Paco Gento:s penalty. Baldomero Guilabertus hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Lisandro Leoiar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santos Kiliz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. 89 minutes into the game, Ruben Cayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GUSESI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Titanes Mayas the free kick. If Hipolito Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Titanes Mayas getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Aldo Gerazan hit a great ball. Paco Gento took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amancio Artal. Titanes Mayas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 96th match minute, GUSESI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Laurendi to maneuver through the defense. Santos Kiliz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Goyo in the 97th minute. Titanes Mayas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
