Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gelu Băcila in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laércio Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Coelho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Jens-Ola Eklund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nuno Coelho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Jens-Ola Eklund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Fenato futebol clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Avesta were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sabin Albu to make the kick off. Laércio Barreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. 82 minutes into the game, Radomil Kolacki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avesta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenato futebol clube the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Radomil Kolacki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Albu in the 84th minute of play forced Fenato futebol clube's goalkeeper Laércio Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabin Albu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laércio Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
