The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Comunardo Chizzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calenzano's supporters rose to their feet, but Comunardo Chizzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils Støle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calenzano's Felix Ivarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Calenzano from getting a goal against them. Eduardo Atarrabi made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dariusz Wos immediately put the ball in play. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Felix Ivarsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Calenzano's Felix Ivarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Wos in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Dariusz Wos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.C. Patagonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Eduardo Atarrabi made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dariusz Wos immediately put the ball in play. In the 38th match minute, A.C. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Atarrabi to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Di Matteo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Dariusz Wos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Felix Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Achille Sciamanna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calenzano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C. Patagonia the free kick. Achille Sciamanna kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Di Matteo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Achille Sciamanna hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A.C. Patagonia's Nils Støle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yaniusky Pardo in the 54th minute of play. Rui Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felix Ivarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Calenzano made a substitution. Alessandro Giocondo replaced Yaniusky Pardo. Calenzano's Quinto Ampudia was substituted for Arturo Di Matteo. After 69 played minutes Calenzano got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Daniele. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Nils Støle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aldo Di Carlo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Felix Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amerigo Ianni got a throw-in 84 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aldo Di Carlo. Aldo Di Carlo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. A.C. Patagonia's Nils Støle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinto Ampudia in the 87th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Quinto Ampudia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nils Støle. That made the score 2-1 in the 91 minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Calenzano's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Di Carlo came free, but Felix Ivarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calenzano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
