An unexpectedly hard shot by Şevket Çağa in the 3rd minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şevket Çağas short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Hílton Magalhães to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Jaizki in the 10th minute of play. Botinho FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Şevket Çağa scored to the left of an out of position Hílton Magalhães, making the score, 1-0. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 minutes of play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Şevket Çağa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hílton Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Club Atlético Atlanta's Abel Iban got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 22 in the game by Şevket Çağa from a close distance when the talented Hílton Magalhães managed to make a qualified save. Botinho FC's players were relieved. Eustaquio Jaizki scored 3-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hílton Magalhães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Şevket Çağa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Hílton Magalhães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rosendo Cutberto kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şevket Çağa in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botinho FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emil Chwalkiewicz was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Atlanta's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Şevket Çağa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Şevket Çağa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Şevket Çağa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hílton Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cássio Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Şevket Çağa to make the kick off. The coaching staff of Club Atlético Atlanta protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paolo Caradaro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 79th minute, one of Club Atlético Atlanta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético Atlanta. When Abel Iban came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Iban couldn't finish the play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Abel Iban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hílton Magalhães. Botinho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Iban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Abel Iban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Botinho FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
