A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save A.D. Alcorcón from getting a goal against them. Academia 1903's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erlantz Bermejo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in A.D. Alcorcón's zone, Timoteo Columbo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurino Serena came out of the goal and Timoteo Columbo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurino Serena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timoteo Columbo in the 45th minute. Primo Speranza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erlantz Bermejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Timoteo Columbo made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Academia 1903's Jeremias Ezkerra got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 54 minutes of play, A.D. Alcorcón's Belo Alvarez made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Nicanor Morenø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Morenø came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Morenø in the 93rd minute of the match. Nicanor Morenø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurino Serena having to interfere.
