But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Iker Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Pernambucano in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, CENTAURO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Tipi to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by CENTAURO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claudinho Dionísio was slow to take the kick. During this time Palmeiras de Plantão's players had a chance to rest. Palmeiras de Plantão's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
