Herbert Sempels was slow to take the kick. During this time Ulan Bator Football Club's players had a chance to rest. If Herbert Sempels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roderik De Fauw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Rik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NeW York CitY CopS's Santos Tristan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save NeW York CitY CopS from getting a goal against them. NeW York CitY CopS's Santos Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Sempels in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, NeW York CitY CopS's Nereo Rik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
