Magos da Bola FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GUSESI the free kick. A collision led to Magos da Bola FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Durval de Souza hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Magos da Bola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Xabel came free, but Augusto Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goal looked a bit too open when Ulisses Damião came free, but David Indalecio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Cayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GUSESI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Orlando Xabel in the 22nd minute. After 30 minutes of play, Magos da Bola FC's Delfim Mandrak made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Indalecio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agnaldo Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, GUSESI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Astigar to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goalkeeper David Indalecio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugênio Alagoano. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Anibal Arotza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Barros having to interfere. GUSESI's David Indalecio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Damião in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Ruben Cayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magos da Bola FC's Augusto Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Magos da Bola FC from getting a goal against them. Magos da Bola FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anibal Arotza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Magos da Bola FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while GUSESI had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
