After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Benjamin Servando managed to get in a good position for a shot. GUSESI's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Servando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Teles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the match, Cachaça FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Dukaj came free, but Marcelinho Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes GUSESI got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Raitin. After a rather tough play, GUSESI's Baltasar Marquez got a free kick in the 12th minute. After some careless play in the Cachaça FC defense, Hugo Sánchez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelinho Teles. The Cachaça FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelinho Teles should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Osvaldinho Fernandes took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for David Indalecio to make any attempt to save it. David Indalecio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldinho Fernandes in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Josué de Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cachaça FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GUSESI the free kick. Josué de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Gabriel Dionísio came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and David Indalecio could save by the left post. Cachaça FC's Marcelinho Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Servando in the 35th minute of play. Marcelinho Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Servando, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, Cachaça FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Paes to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Cachaça FC's zone, Hugo Sánchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho Teles came out of the goal and Hugo Sánchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dieter Muller made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Cachaça FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Dieter Muller's late challenge caught a Cachaça FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dieter Muller helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to GUSESI getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Dieter Muller hit a great ball. When Francis Dukaj fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GUSESI's protests and gave Francis Dukaj a yellow card for diving instead. Francis Dukaj kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in GUSESI's zone, Osvaldinho Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Indalecio came out of the goal and Osvaldinho Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Josué de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes GUSESI got a freekick which was hit by Dieter Muller. GUSESI's David Indalecio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Fernandes in the 69th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Cachaça FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dieter Muller came free, but Marcelinho Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldinho Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Indalecio having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Cachaça FC got a freekick which was hit by Josué de Carvalho. In the 83rd minute Osvaldinho Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Indalecio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Dionísio might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Indalecio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Gabriel Dionísio ran back to his position shaking his head. Osvaldinho Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldinho Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cachaça FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Osvaldinho Fernandes hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, GUSESI's Dieter Muller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelinho Teles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 94th minute, Tiago Gabriel Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Cachaça FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GUSESI:s goal. Benjamin Servando walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. GUSESI were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Cachaça FC's much stronger midfield.
