After a defensive mix-up in Cachaça FC's zone, Fonda Caban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho Teles came out of the goal and Fonda Caban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute Osvaldinho Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tercero Arriete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Goizeder Ruberte during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Goizeder Ruberte hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Real Dracul Medellín's Tercero Arriete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Fernandes in the 24th minute of play. Tercero Arriete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Juan Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachaça FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tercero Arriete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dito Bezerra fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cachaça FC's protests and gave Dito Bezerra a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerico Viaña in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelinho Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute Jerico Viaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Jerico Viaña had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelinho Teles. Cachaça FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerico Viaña was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cachaça FC's Osvaldinho Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Osvaldinho Fernandes scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tercero Arriete, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelinho Teles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerico Viaña's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Trevisan during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Armando Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Goizeder Ruberte kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Jerico Viaña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelinho Teles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Jerico Viaña blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelinho Teles having to make a save. After 71 minutes of play, Cachaça FC's Osvaldinho Fernandes made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tercero Arriete was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dito Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Tercero Arriete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Bao hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cachaça FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Dito Bezerra hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cachaça FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Dracul Medellín had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
