Ábel Szentesi made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Alf Rydelius sent off a good shot on target. Edvin Stenkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László Nemes in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Mihály Pollák charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mihály Pollák the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Hungarian Olympic got a freekick which was hit by Mihály Pollák. The Hungarian Olympic supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hungarian Olympic would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
