Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Pieter den Hartog started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute, Pieter den Hartog made a precise shot to the right of Ole Lorentzen. AEK FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Olivier Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Bjørsvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pieter den Hartog who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Ole Lorentzen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, AEK FC's Ole Lorentzen got control of the ball when Reinhard Braamhaar tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dries Teunisse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AEK FC's Odd-Eirik Hasle got a free kick in the 21st minute. Martin Hansen charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Hansen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Hansen hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Reinhard Braamhaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole Lorentzen having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Gabriele Batistuta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ole Lorentzen. Gabriele Batistuta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Olivier Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Bjørsvik, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Hansen to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Simon Swart. Martin Hansen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olivier Kahn having to make a save. After 55 played minutes AEK FC got a freekick which was hit by Asgeir Lam. After 57 minutes of play, Lemel SV's Pieter den Hartog made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ole Lorentzen was left in no man's land by his defense there! AEK FC's Ole Lorentzen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pieter den Hartog in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Chris Bjørsvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olivier Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when AEK FC's Martin Hansen fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 67 minutes into the match, Pieter den Hartog notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of AEK FC's Ole Lorentzen. Ole Lorentzen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 74 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Hans Degeling. Olivier Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sturle Ottersen in the 77th minute of play. Simon Swart was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Hansen got free with Olivier Kahn in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olivier Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Hansen in the 87th minute of play. Olivier Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sturle Ottersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Lemel SV's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
