In the 6th minute Åge Undheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gytis Vilimavičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ole Lorentzen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Mališauskas in the 9th minute. In the 11th match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor-Andre Halleland to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in AEK FC's zone, Miglius Beržinis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ole Lorentzen came out of the goal and Miglius Beržinis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Jonas Mališauskas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ole Lorentzen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, FC COSA NOSTRA's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Hansen came free, but Gytis Vilimavičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Martin Hansen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gytis Vilimavičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Chris Bjørsvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gytis Vilimavičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Hansen took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gytis Vilimavičius. Gytis Vilimavičius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Jonas Mališauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gytis Vilimavičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åge Undheim in the 30th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Miglius Beržinis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC COSA NOSTRA and the AEK FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miglius Beržinis kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Jonas Mališauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ole Lorentzen made a huge save. Gytis Vilimavičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åge Undheim in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virginijus Žalpys in the 38th minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Ole Lorentzen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes AEK FC got a freekick which was hit by Asgeir Lam. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virginijus Žalpys stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC COSA NOSTRA were furious when Gytis Jankevičius was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gytis Jankevičius kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Gytis Vilimavičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor-Andre Halleland in the 55th minute of play. FC COSA NOSTRA's Gytis Vilimavičius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save FC COSA NOSTRA from getting a goal against them. After 58 played minutes FC COSA NOSTRA got a freekick which was hit by Miglius Beržinis. In the 59th minute of the match Åge Undheim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gytis Vilimavičius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the match, FC COSA NOSTRA's goalkeeper Gytis Vilimavičius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Hansen. Ole Lorentzen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virginijus Žalpys in the 72nd minute of the match. Virginijus Žalpys struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ole Lorentzen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC COSA NOSTRA. Eric Reppe kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Virginijus Žalpys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ole Lorentzen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
