Augusto Vieri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Flames FC's Donald Kearns nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Pelliccioni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Christian Pelliccioni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orval Crow's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gonzo Style f.c fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Christian Pelliccioni had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Valère Flowers's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 22 minutes of play, Flames FC's Valère Flowers made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Pelliccioni was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the game, Flames FC's Orval Crow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Pelliccioni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 29 played minutes, Flames FC's Valère Flowers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christian Pelliccioni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flames FC reached it. In the 31st match minute, Gonzo Style f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Mian to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Vieri in the 35th minute of play forced Flames FC's goalkeeper Philip Hood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Augusto Vieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Augusto Vieri made the kick off in the second half. Gonzo Style f.c's Christian Pelliccioni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Gonzo Style f.c from getting a goal against them. Flames FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valère Flowers in the 65th minute. Flames FC's Darin Nunn was substituted for Chase Hale. Philip Hood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Vieri in the 72nd minute of the match. Philip Hood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Vieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Davide Zisser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gonzo Style f.c's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flames FC the free kick. Donald Kearns struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Christian Pelliccioni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flames FC. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 1-7 when Horace Vaughn sped through Gonzo Style f.c's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christian Pelliccioni. Alberto Firmani took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Hood. Philip Hood dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Flames FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
