Guilherme Veiga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guilherme Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Cutberto in the 15th minute of play. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Cutberto in the 20th minute of play. Carlos Germano made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Romeo Raulo sent off a good shot on target. James Joyner hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 48 played minutes, Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guilherme Veiga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Atlanta reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romeo Raulo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Artaldo to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Raulo in the 52nd minute of the match. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Germano should have stopped the shot. The audience held their breath when Vance Tidwell in the 88th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Carlos Germano's left hand side. The corner ended in James Joyner almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano did a great save. Rosendo Cutberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Guilherme Veiga made a huge save. Racing Miami Futbol Club were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
