Remigio Jerano started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, one of San Pablo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 6 minutes, Remigio Jerano made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. San Pablo FC's Maximo Pelayo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 10 minutes into the game, Shen Xiang Chong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Hernan Ellande was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Academia Club's Remigio Jerano got a free kick in the 12th minute. Hernan Ellande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shen Xiang Chong, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute of the match San Pablo FC got a corner. Academia Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Camilo Rumaldo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Camilo Rumaldo made a great header on San Pablo FC's corner, it was just that Academia Club's Hernan Ellande managed to reach the ball for a save. Academia Club's Hernan Ellande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Lia in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Augusto Eutor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Pablo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Club the free kick. Academia Club made a substitution. Dionisio Dolfo replaced Carlos Quilino. 18 minutes into the game, one of San Pablo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Maximo Pelayo came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Club's Dionisio Dolfo. But to his dismay, Dionisio Dolfo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When Shen Xiang Chong fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Pablo FC's protests and gave Shen Xiang Chong a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Academia Club booed when San Pablo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shen Xiang Chong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dionisio Dolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Maximo Pelayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Pablo Llope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Ellande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Prospero Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Pablo FC's protests and gave Prospero Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. Prospero Moreno hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Remigio Jerano came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Academia Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigio Jerano couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Gerardo Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Ellande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shen Xiang Chong to strike the kick off in the second half. Maximo Pelayo came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Club's Dionisio Dolfo. But to his dismay, Dionisio Dolfo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Sergio Puyol with Leandro Ranolfo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 56 minutes into the game, Academia Club's Dionisio Dolfo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximo Pelayo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. In the 70th minute, Paulo Bartolome hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 71 minutes, Shen Xiang Chong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Pablo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shen Xiang Chong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Academia Club's Dionisio Dolfo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximo Pelayo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Maximo Pelayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dionisio Dolfo's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Maximo Pelayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Ellande made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Shen Xiang Chong sent off a good shot on target. Academia Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Gerardo Lia scored to the left of an out of position Hernan Ellande, making the score, 8-2. 93 minutes into the game, Celso Galsino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Pablo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Club the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, San Pablo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Galsino to maneuver through the defense. San Pablo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
