The tension between the Tala and the San Pablo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tala getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Flavio Estebe hit a great ball. Shen Xiang Chong struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Bernardino Chuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Pablo FC. Matias Ted recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tala's Matias Ted got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Feliberto Gergori in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Gerardo Lia came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the San Pablo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Lia couldn't finish the play. Augusto Eutor kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Maximo Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Ted, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Shen Xiang Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shen Xiang Chong got free with Bernardino Chuan in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximo Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Gergori in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Gergori in the 33rd minute of play forced San Pablo FC's goalkeeper Maximo Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Pablo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matias Ted was slow to take the kick. During this time Tala's players had a chance to rest. Tala's Matias Ted was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maximo Pelayo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 38th minute, Shen Xiang Chong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Pablo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 44 minutes into the match, Tala's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Lia came free, but Bernardino Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feliberto Gergori was the one to do the kick off. Erasmo Egoitz's late challenge caught a Tala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Egoitz helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Ted in the 63rd minute of play forced San Pablo FC's goalkeeper Maximo Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Chuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Lia in the 68th minute of the match. When Genaro Jaunzuria fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tala's protests and gave Genaro Jaunzuria a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tala! The referee gave San Pablo FC a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Camilo Rumaldo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tala's Bernardino Chuan. 2-0. After some careless play in the Tala defense, Shen Xiang Chong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardino Chuan. The Tala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardino Chuan should have stopped the shot. Feliberto Gergori might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Pelayo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliberto Gergori ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernardino Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shen Xiang Chong in the 97th minute of play.
