Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remigio Jerano in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Germano saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Academia Club were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Club Atlético Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leandro Ranolfo took the corner. The corner ended in Leandro Ranolfo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano did a great save. Santos Oskitz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Leandro Ranolfo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remigio Jerano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Carlos Germano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Quilino struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Carlos Germano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia Club. Hernan Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Berdoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Ellande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Cutberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Eustaquio Jaizki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Ellande was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35th minute Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner. Marcos Berdoi went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 37th minute Carlos Quilino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Quilino in the 40th minute of play. Academia Club's Hernan Ellande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 43rd minute of play. Marcos Berdoi took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Ellande. Hernan Ellande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After the first half Club Atlético Atlanta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Remigio Jerano to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Teobaldo Milian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leandro Ranolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Jerano in the 54th minute of the match. Paulo Bartolome hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Carlos Quilino struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Carlos Germano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia Club. A collision led to Academia Club getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Paulo Bartolome hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Oskitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Leandro Ranolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match Academia Club got a corner. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leandro Ranolfo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hernan Ellande made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Rosendo Cutberto sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Academia Club booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Iban didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carlos Quilino came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Academia Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Quilino couldn't finish the play. In the 77th match minute, Academia Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Quilino to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Milian sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Hernan Ellande threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Teobaldo Milian this time. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Quilino, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Rosendo Cutberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Hernan Ellande made a huge save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
