Academia Club's Hernan Ellande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Obano in the 38th minute of play. If Paulo Bartolome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ariel Obano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernan Ellande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Virila to make the kick off. The throw-in from Angel Urtsin in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Oflador FC 2003's Silvano Harriet. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ariel Obano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oflador FC 2003's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Obano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Ellande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute of the game Silvano Harriet made a throw-in which Vinicio Magdaleno played forward. Oflador FC 2003's Godfredo Frascuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Quilino in the 62nd minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Carlos Quilino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Oflador FC 2003 were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
