Cesar Florin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Cesar Florin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Günter Pich showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. With an all-out effort, FC Colo - Colo's Cesar Florin threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Günter Pich, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Colo - Colo had played much better football throughout.
