The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Peter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Flavio Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Xabat in the 18th minute of play. Korneliusz Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jess Carnduff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Korneliusz Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavio Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valter Xabat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valter Xabat took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Peter. Flavio Peter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A sloppy throw-in by Tauro Doro in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Alemannia Aachen's Aulis Salomaa. Flavio Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Müller in the 30th minute of the match. Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Xabat in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute Manfred Kottsieper suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filip Negulici during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alemannia Aachen's Bernhard Meckelburg was substituted for Manfred Kottsieper. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Filip Negulici got a free kick in the 40th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Alemannia Aachen's Lech Wawrukiewicz tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Xabat in the 43rd minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Korneliusz Barna made a kick off. Thomas Müller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Flavio Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Korneliusz Barna struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jess Carnduff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batalionul U23 Dorobanti. Flavio Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Xabat in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Xabat came free, but Flavio Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Valter Xabat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Peter was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Filip Negulici got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ionuț Contra made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Xerxes Doro however managed to control. Jess Carnduff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xerxes Doro in the 95th minute of the match. Alemannia Aachen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
