FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Batistuta in the 18th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, James Batistuta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Marian Văduvescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If King Scorpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling King Scorpio in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Văduvescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nae Griguță during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nae Griguță hit a great ball. Marian Văduvescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Batistuta in the 32nd minute of the match. Nae Griguță got a throw-in 34 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Constantin Deșliu. Glenn Fyfe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Barbu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The A4p FC Gad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. James Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marian Văduvescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu got control of the ball when Dumitru Purcărete tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves James Batistuta could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Marian Văduvescu however easily saved by the left post.
