But to his dismay, Fermin Dolfo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Tate in the 7th minute of play forced Yalapa's goalkeeper Basri İhtiyar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basri İhtiyar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 played minutes Errecaborda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Savion. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Dolfo in the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermin Dolfo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmond Verdun saved Errecaborda AFC from getting behind. Edward Jørnø charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edward Jørnø the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Yalapa's Edward Jørnø got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Fermin Dolfo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun. Edmond Verdun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yalapa's Basri İhtiyar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Yalapa from getting a goal against them. Edmond Verdun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Dolfo's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 29 minutes Errecaborda AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabian Rosalio who took care of the corner kick. 30 minutes into the game, Fermin Dolfo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Edmond Verdun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute, Fermin Dolfo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmond Verdun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Basri İhtiyar made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Emílio Terra sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Mauro Rameriz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basri İhtiyar was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Basri İhtiyar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Terra in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joe Tate was the one to do the kick off. When Fermin Dolfo came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Yalapa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Dolfo couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, Yalapa's Fermin Dolfo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edmond Verdun. Edmond Verdun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Yalapa's Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı was substituted for Fermin Dolfo. After 87 minutes of play, Errecaborda AFC's Emílio Terra made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basri İhtiyar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute of the match Yalapa got a corner. Errecaborda AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabian Rosalio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yalapa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
