The audience was convinced that Claudio-Paul Caniggia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armindo Salgado was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Józef Mlynarczyk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gervásio Severiano went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Tolino in the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gervásio Severiano in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Józef Mlynarczyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Luís Braga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as VB-Team's Gervásio Severiano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Józef Mlynarczyk. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. Józef Mlynarczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 47th minute of the match.

Deportivo Pucho's Ahmet Nasir Nesefi was substituted for Claudio-Paul Caniggia. The wind increased when Joaquim de Barros made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Nasir Nesefi in the 55th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Nasir Nesefi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armindo Salgado came out and tried to block the shot, but Ahmet Nasir Nesefi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Braga in the 59th minute of play forced Deportivo Pucho's goalkeeper Józef Mlynarczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Józef Mlynarczyk having to interfere. Józef Mlynarczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 67th minute of the match. Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Marko in the 71st minute of play. The VB-Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Salgado should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute Luís Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Józef Mlynarczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 minutes VB-Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Archie Litchfield who took care of the corner kick. Archie Litchfield made a great header on Deportivo Pucho's corner, it was just that VB-Team's Armindo Salgado managed to reach the ball for a save. 91 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Pucho:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Józef Mlynarczyk had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Luís Braga's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Arnulfo Marko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Pucho's Józef Mlynarczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 97th minute of play. Shao Kun Yuan hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. The Deportivo Pucho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Pucho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
