The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vaggelis Lalas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miromir Chrobak in the 2nd minute of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Asier Solano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Zamość's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YELLOW FC the free kick. After 4 played minutes Real Zamość got a freekick which was hit by Asier Solano. The supporters of YELLOW FC booed when Real Zamość was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asier Solano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Avraam Sevastopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YELLOW FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Avraam Sevastopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Koczara in the 8th minute of play forced YELLOW FC's goalkeeper Vaggelis Lalas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Krzysztof Oleszak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanasis Robos in the 10th minute of the match. A hard shot 11 in the game by Avraam Sevastopoulos from a close distance when the talented Krzysztof Oleszak managed to make a qualified save. Real Zamość's players were relieved. Avraam Sevastopoulos in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Krzysztof Oleszak, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot 15 in the game by Avraam Sevastopoulos from a close distance when the talented Krzysztof Oleszak managed to make a qualified save. Real Zamość's players were relieved. 16 minutes into the match, YELLOW FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeusz Koczara came free, but Vaggelis Lalas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Olof Kämpe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Krzysztof Oleszak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. YELLOW FC were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Real Zamość's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomáš Řehák took the corner. The corner ended in Tomáš Řehák almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Zamość's Krzysztof Oleszak did a great save. When Thanasis Robos came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the YELLOW FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thanasis Robos couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the game, Real Zamość's Miromir Chrobak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vaggelis Lalas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 35 played minutes YELLOW FC got a freekick which was hit by Nontas Ntalakouras. Krzysztof Oleszak made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Algirdas Radzevičius sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the game, Real Zamość's Miromir Chrobak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vaggelis Lalas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 40th minute Boguslaw Kapinos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Lalas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Evripidis Zoubadellis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaggelis Lalas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miromir Chrobak in the 43rd minute of play. Algirdas Radzevičius hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Miromir Chrobak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avraam Sevastopouloss short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Krzysztof Oleszak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Algirdas Radzevičius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Avraam Sevastopoulos to make the kick off. Real Zamość's Miromir Chrobak got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Avraam Sevastopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Krzysztof Oleszak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avraam Sevastopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Avraam Sevastopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeusz Koczara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Vaggelis Lalas made a huge save. Tadeusz Koczara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Vaggelis Lalas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Algirdas Radzevičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Avraam Sevastopoulos in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Krzysztof Oleszak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Krzysztof Oleszak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Avraam Sevastopoulos's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute Avraam Sevastopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Oleszak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spyros Kazantzakos in the 77th minute of play forced Real Zamość's goalkeeper Krzysztof Oleszak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Zamość's Krzysztof Oleszak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spyros Kazantzakos in the 86th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Zamość fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! 96 minutes into the match, Avraam Sevastopoulos notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Real Zamość's Krzysztof Oleszak. Krzysztof Oleszak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Real Zamość's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
