Maximo Villamarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Lundgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. David Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Villamarin in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Redbull Sala's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Villamarin came free, but David Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Red Reign were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Red Reign supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Red Reign would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
