Manuel Campens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Hallam in the 12th minute of play. If Hilário Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Vivant's goal looked a bit too open when Nuralp Akbal came free, but A.J. 关平 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.J. 关平 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Bartzokas in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuralp Akbal in the 18th minute of play forced Vivant's goalkeeper A.J. 关平 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vivant's goalkeeper A.J. 关平, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Larry Hallam to make the kick off. The supporters of Vivant booed when Pagos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Statham didn't get a good kick on the ball.
