The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frédson Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frédson Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Gergely Bollobás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Catalin Haldan's Radu Curea got a free kick in the 5th minute. Radu Curea kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gergely Bollobás in the 8th minute of play forced Catalin Haldan's goalkeeper Olavi Liib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gergely Bollobás's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olavi Liib was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Olavi Liib stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gergely Bollobás's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Gergely Bollobás cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Olavi Liib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Catalin Haldan's Olavi Liib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gergely Bollobás in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, S.C. Ferrari's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Telin came free, but Bernardo Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Catalin Haldan's goal looked a bit too open when Gergely Bollobás came free, but Olavi Liib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavi Liib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gergely Bollobás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Lima stood somewhat misplaced when Frédson Melo came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 26 minute. In the 32nd minute Gergely Bollobás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavi Liib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Gergely Bollobás notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Catalin Haldan's Olavi Liib. Olavi Liib was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Gergely Bollobás's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olavi Liib was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Catalin Haldan defense, Gergely Bollobás kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olavi Liib. The Catalin Haldan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olavi Liib should have stopped the shot. After 45 minutes Catalin Haldan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Acácio de Andrade who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Carlos Duarte heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frédson Melo to make the kick off. Olavi Liib came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Ferrari's Gergely Bollobás. But to his dismay, Gergely Bollobás quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. S.C. Ferrari's Sergio Mosquera was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olavi Liib in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Catalin Haldan booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lu Bing Yin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gergely Bollobás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valder Gausbo in the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Gergely Bollobás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavi Liib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Carlos Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Ferrari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mugurel Onete kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. S.C. Ferrari's Furo Furenbrink was substituted for Gergely Bollobás. Mugurel Onete hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, S.C. Ferrari's Acácio de Andrade broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Furo Furenbrink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Ferrari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Furo Furenbrink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Furo Furenbrink took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavi Liib. Olavi Liib dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-9. Catalin Haldan's Olavi Liib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Catalin Haldan from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute, Furo Furenbrink made a precise shot to the right of Olavi Liib. Catalin Haldan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-10. After 94 played minutes S.C. Ferrari got a freekick which was hit by Furo Furenbrink. The S.C. Ferrari supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing S.C. Ferrari would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
