UMBRELLA CORPORATION™'s Wanderson Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betinho Damião in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Lucas Hulk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wanderson Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lucas Hulk sped through UMBRELLA CORPORATION™'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wanderson Freire. Paul Christini made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Karel-Jan De Winter sent off a good shot on target. Wanderson Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Dorian Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Edson Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Dorian Sena hit a great ball. Jos Verduin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Paul Christini when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betinho Damião was the one to do the kick off. UMBRELLA CORPORATION™'s Wanderson Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save UMBRELLA CORPORATION™ from getting a goal against them. Jos Verduin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Paul Christini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Wanderson Freire throw himself and got hold of the ball when Betinho Damião in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Fontes in the 60th minute of play forced UMBRELLA CORPORATION™'s goalkeeper Wanderson Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Edson Futebol Clube's Wanderson Freire threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Panos Karkantos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
