With a little luck, Parque Europa FC's Luis Täger got control of the ball when Delmar Nesto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hemming Tjørnum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A. Caminiaga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Löfkvist was slow to take the kick. During this time Parque Europa FC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Rogelio Mendiola heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Froilan Reyes scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hemming Tjørnum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Parque Europa FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Rodolfo Txeru scored to the left of an out of position Luis Täger, making the score, 1-2. 36 minutes into the match, Froilan Reyes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hemming Tjørnum. C.A. Caminiaga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Froilan Reyes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 42 minutes C.A. Caminiaga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Löfkvist who took care of the corner kick. Caminiaga players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Parque Europa FC were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Froilan Reyes made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Saul Gomesano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hemming Tjørnum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Reyes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hemming Tjørnum having to make a save. Hemming Tjørnum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Aureliano Soto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hemming Tjørnum, 1-6.
