Cementerio Club's Austen Farrow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Nesto in the 18th minute of play. Victoriano Ladio kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Hemming Tjørnum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Gonzo in the 23rd minute of the match. With his leg Austen Farrow managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when C.A. Caminiaga's Victorino Frasco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 30 minutes, Santo Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cementerio Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Gonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Horacio Ranolfo fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Caminiaga's protests and gave Horacio Ranolfo a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes C.A. Caminiaga got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Ranolfo. After 35 played minutes, Cementerio Club's Ermegildo Demario shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hemming Tjørnum came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cementerio Club reached it. Cementerio Club were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after C.A. Caminiaga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ermegildo Demario took the corner. The corner led Cementerio Club's Ermegildo Demario to fire away a dangerous shot which Hemming Tjørnum despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A. Caminiaga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ermegildo Demario was slow to take the kick. During this time Cementerio Club's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th minute, Santo Gonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Gonzo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Hemming Tjørnum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cementerio Club. Rodolfo Txeru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Austen Farrow made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cementerio Club's Benê Veiga was substituted for Saatxan Gentiletti. The supporters of Cementerio Club booed when C.A. Caminiaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Luix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Gonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute Victorino Frasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Farrow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Gonzo in the 77th minute of play forced C.A. Caminiaga's goalkeeper Hemming Tjørnum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Gonzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Hemming Tjørnum made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Santo Gonzo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hemming Tjørnum. The goal made the score 0-2. Hemming Tjørnum made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Benê Veiga sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to C.A. Caminiaga getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hector Luix hit a great ball.
