Huckebein's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fagildo Pamanes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Consejo del Mate's Fagildo Pamanes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Apolo Santxol in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Apolo Santxol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marin Jumancă. Marin Jumancă did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Hugo Orlando Gatti 9 minutes into the match. Apolo Santxol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes Huckebein's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fagildo Pamanes who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 20th minute of play forced Huckebein's goalkeeper Apolo Santxol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Bolo Bolaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Santxol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Huckebein's Apolo Santxol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 22nd minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Marin Jumancă sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Marin Jumancă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Marin Jumancă reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hugo Orlando Gatti. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Jumancă in the 33rd minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huckebein's goalkeeper Apolo Santxol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Marin Jumancă came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Huckebein fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Jumancă couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Huckebein's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Santana came free, but Apolo Santxol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Vicente Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Santxol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marin Jumancă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Jumancă came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernan Quinton kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Consejo del Mate made a substitution. Peyo Fonelleda replaced Vicente Santana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfgang Dalkvist in the 85th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peyo Fonelledas short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Apolo Santxol to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Huckebein's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
