With a little luck, Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's Virgilio Quentin got control of the ball when Bin Shevchenko tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Bin Shevchenko recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Virgilio Quentin. Bin Shevchenko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 27 played minutes Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Arantes. 29 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Erruki came free, but Luiz Fábio Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Bin Shevchenko reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Virgilio Quentin. The goal made the score 2-1. Bin Shevchenko might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Quentin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bin Shevchenko ran back to his position shaking his head. Virgilio Quentin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Merten Münch made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite. Blumenau Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 41 minutes into the match, Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's Merten Münch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fábio Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, one of Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Merten Münch to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino Leme hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match, Merten Münch got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luiz Fábio Leite was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Blumenau Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC booed when Blumenau Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Erruki in the 61st minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64thth minute of the game Bin Shevchenko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's Virgilio Quentin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bin Shevchenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Quentin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Nildo Dantas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Virgilio Quentin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 90th minute, Pedro Luiz Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blumenau Esporte Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
