Qian Zheng Yi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Vegetti in the 19th minute of the match. Nofre Amorebieta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Testu in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute, Axel Sudre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Jean-Michel Portier sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Nofre Amorebieta threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Jean-Michel Portier this time. After a rather tough play, Herblay's Aimé Bienvenu got a free kick in the 47th minute. After 48 played minutes, UE Cornella's Edvin Vennerberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Qian Zheng Yi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Herblay were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after UE Cornella's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jean-Michel Portier took the corner. The corner led Herblay's Jean-Michel Portier to fire away a dangerous shot which Nofre Amorebieta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nofre Amorebieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Bellarabi in the 55th minute of play. Nofre Amorebieta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Testu's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Herblay's goalkeeper Qian Zheng Yi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Segundo Casco. UE Cornella's Nofre Amorebieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Bellarabi in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, Herblay's Qian Zheng Yi got control of the ball when Segundo Casco tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Herblay getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Axel Sudre hit a great ball. In the 77th match minute, Herblay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Sudre to maneuver through the defense. Nofre Amorebieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karim Bellarabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Herblay's Qian Zheng Yi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Echavarri in the 87th minute of play. The UE Cornella players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
