Nofre Amorebieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Benkó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Pablo Vegetti made a precise shot to the right of Färid Mondragón. Armada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Villiam Gustavsson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 29 played minutes UE Cornella got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando. After having played for 34 minutes, Pablo Vegetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UE Cornella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Vegetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Edvin Vennerberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Armada's Färid Mondragón didn't even have to move. 38 minutes into the match, Armada's goalkeeper Färid Mondragón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Echavarri. When Róbert Benkó came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Armada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbert Benkó couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, Armada's goalkeeper Färid Mondragón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Vegetti. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Róbert Benkó made a kick off. Charles Puyol made in the 54th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Pablo Vegetti however managed to control. Róbert Benkó received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nofre Amorebieta came out and tried to block the shot, but Róbert Benkó slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 59th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Charles Puyol threw the ball into play from the sideline. Armada's Villiam Gustavsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. UE Cornella's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Róbert Benkó scored to the left of an out of position Nofre Amorebieta, making the score, 1-2. Färid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Vegetti in the 76th minute of the match. Róbert Benkó could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Nofre Amorebieta made a huge save. Armada's Färid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Vegetti in the 81st minute of play. After 83 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Rivaldo Esquerdo. 91 minutes into the match, Armada's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Vegetti came free, but Färid Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Armada supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Armada would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
