The long shot by Segundo Casco in the 24th minute really tested Lorenzo Staldegger's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Echavarri in the 32nd minute of play forced Chancy Olympique's goalkeeper Lorenzo Staldegger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Staldegger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Echavarri went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Lukas Huwyler charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lukas Huwyler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Lukas Huwyler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the game, UE Cornella's George Echavarri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorenzo Staldegger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The UE Cornella fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 46th minute, Pablo Vegetti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lorenzo Staldegger. The goal made the score 4-0.

After 51 minutes, Jerrick Dobmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chancy Olympique and the UE Cornella players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jerrick Dobmann hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute of the match, Vladimir Weyermann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nofre Amorebieta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 67 minutes into the game, Segundo Casco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Lorenzo Staldegger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George Echavarri took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lorenzo Staldegger. Lorenzo Staldegger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After a rather tough play, Chancy Olympique's Vladimir Weyermann got a free kick in the 74th minute. Lorenzo Staldegger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Echavarri went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. George Echavarri scored 9-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo Staldegger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lorenzo Staldegger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Casco, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience was convinced that George Echavarri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lorenzo Staldegger was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. There was no doubt that UE Cornella were the better team. UE Cornella's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
