In the 8th minute Ronaldinho de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Nesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ronaldinho de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Internazionale-RS's protests and gave Ronaldinho de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Internazionale-RS got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho de Amaral. Marcos Nesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Jorginho Soares notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Toro Rosso FC's Marcos Nesto. Marcos Nesto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Ronaldinho de Amaral made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Nesto. Toro Rosso FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Marcelino Senon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Albano Pancho came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Toro Rosso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Pancho couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Toro Rosso FC's Ezequiel Gauargi got a free kick in the 35th minute. Marcos Nesto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorginho Soares's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Dino de Toledo's late challenge caught a Toro Rosso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dino de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Internazionale-RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Albano Pancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Travassos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Cesar Shantala lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Toro Rosso FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! The Toro Rosso FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Internazionale-RS were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorginho Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. Dino de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Rosario charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Rosario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcos Nesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Santana in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ezequiel Gauargi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toro Rosso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Gauargi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Travassos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, Jorginho Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Nesto. Toro Rosso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorginho Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 64th play minutes Jorginho Soares shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Marcos Nesto and just under the crossbar into goal. 69 minutes into the match, Jorginho Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Nesto. Toro Rosso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorginho Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. With a little luck, Toro Rosso FC's Marcos Nesto got control of the ball when Jorginho Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filipe Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Pancho in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes Internazionale-RS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ezequiel Gauargi who took care of the corner kick. Mariano Llorienzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Travassos having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Internazionale-RS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
