Will Lemerond didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Leicester Lions's Grant Blacknell got control of the ball when Emiliano Gai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quebrachitos FC's Oscar Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Will Patton in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camron Rhodes in the 10th minute of play forced Quebrachitos FC's goalkeeper Oscar Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Tod Freeman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oscar Ekhi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Will Patton took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Ekhi. Oscar Ekhi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Grant Blacknell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Barca in the 20th minute. Atilano Gipuzkoa charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atilano Gipuzkoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aníbal Barca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grant Blacknell having to make a save. In the 24th minute Aníbal Barca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Blacknell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Quebrachitos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Freeman came free, but Oscar Ekhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grant Blacknell made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Aníbal Barca sent off a good shot on target. After 34 minutes Leicester Lions's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tadeu Pombal who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Quebrachitos FC's Tadeu Pombal to fire away a dangerous shot which Grant Blacknell despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 1-3 became the score in the 43rd minute when Emiliano Gai elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Quebrachitos FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Tadeu Pombal hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tod Freeman to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Aníbal Barca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quebrachitos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leicester Lions's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tadeu Pombal was slow to take the kick. During this time Quebrachitos FC's players had a chance to rest. Quebrachitos FC's Benedicto Gustau managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alexander Cheetham in the 60 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Barca in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grant Blacknell saved Leicester Lions from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Tony Cheeseman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Leicester Lions defense, Aníbal Barca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grant Blacknell. The Leicester Lions fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grant Blacknell should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Quebrachitos FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Aníbal Barca hit a great ball. Oscar Ekhi made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Camron Rhodes sent off a good shot on target. Benedicto Gustau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant Blacknell having to interfere. Grant Blacknell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Barca in the 76th minute of play. Grant Blacknell came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Quebrachitos FC's Tadeu Pombal. But to his dismay, Tadeu Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Oscar Ekhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Connor Branston in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tod Freeman in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Ekhi saved Quebrachitos FC from getting behind. After having played for 84 minutes, Connor Branston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leicester Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Connor Branston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Barca came free, but Grant Blacknell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Quebrachitos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaitan Casado to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Quebrachitos FC's goalkeeper Oscar Ekhi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastien Clifford. The audience thought a goal was coming when Connor Branston got free with Oscar Ekhi in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leicester Lions's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
